Welcome to Evolution, a writers' group dedicated to free and open
creative expression in all genres. We began as a group of writers with
a vision of a site where all forms of writing were
acceptable--everything from childrens' literature to erotica, poetry to
journalism to technical documents. We're all here because we love one
thing--writing. Evolution is not just a linear progression from one
form to a more advanced form.
Evolution is the process of life seeping through all the cracks there
are and making its own way in all its own directions. For writers, that
means freedom of speech and thought. Controversial topics or
traditional ideas shown in an original way. Every writer begins
learning craft, then creates a unique and powerful niche in the minds
of readers.
Whatever you're growing toward, we will do our best to help you get
there.

January at Evolution:
Preditors
and Editors is currently running their annual Readers' Poll
through January 30th. We're one of the contestants in the Writers'
Forum category. Please take a moment to take a look and vote for us
if you feel so inclined. 
Classes and Workshops:
Plotting
with Plugh: an ongoing class looking at plotting from a different
perspective; also covering outlining, brainstorming, and everything
that goes along.
Return
of the Think Tank! 9pm PST/12am EST January 18th, 5am Jan. 19th.
Current challenges:
The David and Goliath Challenge: Pick a word count for this month
from a variety of goals!
The
Good Karma Challenge: Figure out something good you can do to earn
yourself some nice karmic points in your writing.
Resolution:
Submit It! Take that next step in your writing
career by making a goal to submit something in January.
